Both the Guardian and the Sun reported today that from Jan 1st we may not be allowed into Spain because we will no longer be in the EU and the Covid restrictions currently ban all Countries bar 3 (Australia, New Zealand and Singapore)from entering Europe. Although it will be up to the individual EU members to decide. Worth checking if youre going out after 1st Jan.  Im coming out on the 31st December just in case

I reckon there is zero chance of Spain closing their borders to UK visitors.

The rules, as they always have stood- allow individual EU countries to decide who can and cannot gain access. Spain is about to begin a mammoth tourist campaign in UK.

As ever, click bait sensationalism from British tabloids.

Yeh I would agree with that. Just thought I would put it out there. I certainly agree that Spain would be stupid to ban UK tourists but you never know, lets hope not.

I wouldn't be so confident about that. If it came to EU Countries stopping the influx of Brits on holiday or to their homes here, they might just consider doing that if the Covid19 cases in the UK keep rising. After all, who in their right mind would want to let tourists flood in if there was a high risk of contamination - again. I would watch the Spanish government news for any info or the British consulate in Madrid might be a good starting point. At least yo will get the correct info but it does change daily at the moment

What is definite is that you will need to have the Card which proves you have been vaccinated against Covid. and a negative test

I haven’t seen any requirement for a vaccination certificate yet for entry to Spain? Surely too premature when vaccination has barely started in the entire world?

The only thing I have seen to date is the requirement of a negative pct test on entry to Spain.
