Getting around

Hi .......we’ve been at a friends place in la marina urbinazation for a couple of days........looks like we could be quite isolated without a car as the bus only goes to Alicante and the return is quite early. As we are here for a month I would appreciate any ideas/help on making the most of our stay...I did hope to walk to the beach each day but tourist info said there is no road from Av. San Fulgencio la marina. So any local walks? Many thanks
