Hello, my first post here. I am in the process of purchasing a small property in Urbanisation La Marina. To get around, I intend to bring over a UK registered 1971 BSA motorcycle, I will be using this less than six months of every year as I will be staying in just the winter months.
My current Insurance policy only covers me for 30 days abroad.

RayD is correct.
But to your specific question, we used the company below to insure 2 UK plated cars that we brought with us to Spain, and continue to insure with them now the 2 cars have been re-plated here.
The insurance is valid for anywhere in Europe (not just in the EU), without time limits.

I was lead to believe that as long as I stayed one day less than six months, I would not need to become a Spanish Resident? Especially as my main home that I will spend the greater period living in, is in the UK?
Regarding the 90 days post Brexit, is it possible to travel to Gibraltar, spend a day there and then start a fresh 90 in 180 day period?

So worst case scenario, instead of one stay of six months per year, I can take two three month periods as long as they are separated by three months?
If that proves to be the case, my original question, is it still a viable option?
