Has anyone successfully registered their UK motorhome onto Spain plates? If so were there and major issues to overcome?

I have read on some forums that it is nearly impossible if your MH isnt continental spec as for health and safety the hab door needs to be curb side.

Thanks in advance

I think you'll find that the door being on the 'wrong side' is a red herring and of itself will - or should - be of no consequence.

Get a definite answer from any ITV. They tell you exactly all the requirements to be met. Having a COC from the manufacturer will make things relatively easy. Any gas installation has to be modified to Spanish conditions.

I agree that it no longer matters which side the door is on. If you want reassurance then I'm sure you'll find that here:

As well as the gas installation that killjoy has mentioned, the electrical installation may also need a check, although I assume that this only applies if the vehicle has a hook up to an external 230 volt supply.
