Getting new Brexit residency
Hi all
We have today been to the Immegration Office in Alicante to renew my wife’s (who is not an EU citizen) residency for the second time as her first 5 year one expired on Sept 20
We found that the previous green car issued to British now needs to change and to do that the firm E 23 must be filled and 12 Euros taxes paid and an appointment made
The process was so fast they did not check any financial documents such as proof of income bank statements nor did they ask for proof of any private medical insurance for my wife or me
The wife’s residency will only be renewed for another 5 years cause of Brexit and I will also get a new residency card and these will be ready to collect in 3 weeks
As I said the process once the tax fee is paid and an appointment is made was so quick and without any fuss
Just thought I share this with everyone as we did not know about the form E 23 had we known this we could have done this ourselves without going to a solicitor at a cost of 150 Euros per application
Cheers
