We want to spend a month in La Marina during summer holidays this year and I am wondering what could be the most economical solution for car hiring during this time!? Are there any car sharing services around?

We hired a car from firefly for 21 days and it cost us 260 euros including insurance and two drivers.

Try LARA cars, they are situated on the Urb, and do airport delivery and drop off, or can deal straight from the Urb.

We live in Rojales and had some friends over to visit last week. We hired a car from No Hassle Car Hire bear La Marquesa golf club. They use older cars but we had a perfectly serviceable Renault Scenic. Their rates are €15 per day, €20 during July and August. Insured for any driver over 23. Just need proof of UK or Spanish address with driving licence. No credit card or deposit required. Just return with same amount of fuel as when picking up. The guy who runs it is called Owen. He’s a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.
That is good to hear! What do you do about getting from and too the airport ?
They have an airport pick up drop off service available at a very decent price. Check the website for info.
