Anybody arrived recently and can confirm whether or not EES is now operational at Alicante Airport please?

Hi yes it is in operation, long queues when we arrived, took about 1 hour 20mins to get through. You only have to do it once though

I arrived at Alicante airport the day before EES came into operation so my passport was stamped, I departed Alicante 3 days ago and headed for the normal machine and passport stamping and was turned round and told to use the new machines, at the new machines it said manual validation is required so I was directed to where I was originally, this same thing happened to a few people.

Was at 2pm today but no long Qs for the non eu passport holders

I flew into Alicante a couple of weeks ago and the EES process was smoother than I expected. Queues were short, but I suppose that depends on the time of day. I usually keep my flights flexible and often end up booking through buyairfarelastminute.com since plans change quickly — it’s been useful when I needed something last minute without paying crazy prices.
