cockroach problem

I think it depends on where you are on the Urb. Around the ironmongers /Bob's Bar area you see hundreds of them on a warm evening. We live near the top of Av.  Londres and have only had two i in the house in seven years, and the doors are open almost all day. I think it's just something you have to learn to live with. Apart from that they are pretty harmless. 😕

They come in the cleanest homes too, everyone in Spain will get one occasionally but prevention is the best cure.. 

We have not had one inside the house dead or alive for a few years. We may just be lucky but I am paranoid and do everything to stop them getting in as well as spraying around the door entries and kitchen floors and bathrooms a few times a year. If they ever get in they won't last long but netting on windows, door grill's and all vents seems to have done the trick.

Hi the best cockroach traps are Mercadona ones, I have always used these.

I always place at least 3 in each room. Make sure they are away from pets and children, and put them in the corners,

they always go through them then, you don´t want them to hide in your house and lay eggs!!

The other cheap ones from Domti and the like only have sticky tape in them.

The Mercadona ones have poison, and they work. If you have pets do not use the spray or powder,

it´s lethal to pets.

Make sure you have mosquito netting on all windows, and I use those magnetic door ones on

the front door.I hate the buggars, but only had two indoors last year :)

You have to watch they bloody sneak in through the door when you aren´t looking LOL

PS Their ant traps are the best I have found too, the ants swarm into them, take it

back to the nest.....job done :)

I just move them to where they are needed, put them where the trail of ants is.

I use the spray from Mercadona - the red and black tins when sprayed last for 3 months and it has been really effective for me - just make sure you cover your noise as its quite toxic smelling!

Hi I have just moved into a apartment on the ground floor in Alfaz I am having problems with cockroaches inside my place. Also have been told in the summer they run around the street which I live in. I have a drain right side of my front door. Please I really can't live with them, can someone advise me what to do. I have a dog and sometimes have to go out in the middle of the night.
