I see that there was a very old (2017) post asking about Garden Waste but it is does not seem to be applicable now. Searching on the council website has proved quite unrewarding, so, is anybody aware of what the current arrangements are for getting rid of garden waste? Where, what times and is there a charge?

Thanks in advance

Hello

I,  found a link for San Fulgencio  Ayuntamiento   re garden waste, but couldn't find a date to confirm how up to date it is.  You could drive round & check a couple of the address's to see if they are  still  in use for garden waste, failing that, scroll right  to the bottom & you'll find a telephone number that might be able to help or someone who lives in that area might advise you.

www.sanfulgencio.es/en/city-hall/areas/community-and-social-welfare/services-for-the-community.

Cheers

There is a local tip in La Marina. It's right at the bottom of the Urbanisation.

See the map.

If it is only small bits, just cut it up and put it in the rubbish container for organic material.

To use the tip you will need a card that is obtained from tourist information office next to the medical centre. From what I remember we needed a padron to obtain one. This was brought in as many businesses and private people were coming into the urbanisation to dump their rubbish.

As said above, if you do not have much rubbish you can put in the normal bin provided it is in a bag.

Thanks, that is very useful! Having just arrived it is proving quite hard to find good information so that is very helpful indeed.

Forgot to mention the green card. You only need your NIE plus a copy of a utility bill with your name on it. No need for a padrón.

Thanks for the update re documents required. It is so long since we got our card for the tip that I had forgotten what we used.
