Hi all. We were out for lunch on the urb.
We had no cash so we paid with our sabedell debit card?.
We were told there was a 1 euro charge for this.
Weve eaten out in many places and never had this before..
Needles to say there was no tip.
A Euro sounds cheap but if you would otherwise have given a tip then probably all you've done is punished the staff for something over which they had no control whatsoever.

Well all I can say is they should easily be able to absorb the small percentage usually charged by banks.
If its 2% charge on the €10 then they have 80 cents profit out of the euro. The owners should put that in the staff jar!
I agree with "Movingon" it's not fair on the staff but the owner is further profiting. Business is tough out there.
Perhaps someone could advise where it was as I would be curious to know........PM me.
