I'm sad to say that 28% of those asking questions didn't even respond, let alone say thanks or click the button.
I'm always willing to try and help, but I'm not going to waste time trying to help people who in my opinion are deficient in good manners, so I've created for myself a personal black list.
I'm definitely not trying to deter people from posting questions, but please, please, at least acknowledge any help you are offered.

Your advice has been invaluable to us Jim and so reassuring we can ask you anything and you will always be ready with help and advice.

Come on people at least click on the helpful box when you ask for advice apart from anything else it’s just rude not too.

Just an observance, but having belonged to lots of forums in the past.

This is the only one where the answer to my first post hasn't been preceeded with a "Hello and welcome to the forum."

In that case Mandy, a belated welcome to the forum!

I don't know what others do, but I open all new posts in separate tabs, then run through them. When doing so, I don't pay any attention to which sub-forum they're in, and without looking at the posts count, I might not spot that someone is posting for the first time.

I haven always found your posts a blessing and very informative. If you respond to anyone's questions I always take the time to read because you are so knowledgeable. Just to say a big thanks for your time and I'm sure everyone agree's with me. A great asset to this forum. Thanks again! : )
