hello People i am in Kent UK and planning a holiday to Valencia La Marina area and wondering if anyone could enlighten me with information regarding metal detecting licence for the La Marina areas please

Licenses are now longer needed BUT the coast south from La Marina /Guardamar boundry to La Mata are out of bounds and and all detecting banned as of 2 years ago and is enforced [ local mayors hate us ...!] .

The answer to your query may also be different depending upon to which La Marina you are referring! La Marina urbanisation (on the inland side of the N332 road) comes under the jurisdiction of San Fulgencio and La Marina the town (on the sea side of the N332) comes under the jurisdiction of Elche. Both San Fulgencio and Elche are in the Province of Alicante which is one of three provinces within the Community of Valencia.

Thank you for your reply, my Nephew, Craig runs a dog and pet rescue center in La Marina somewhere up in the mountains so unless I come over there not really sure what part of La Marina this encompasses but i will be driving anyway bringing my detecting and scuba gear for a bit of sport i have found coins and rings going back to 1500 in the reign of Henry the Eighth so could be fun
