Some one travelling to Spain for a week holiday in April but passport due to be renewed in May what time frame are you allowed to travel to Spain and back to uk. Tia

Generally travel within the EU is ok upto the expiry date, whilst travelling outside the EU, some countries require 6 months remaining and 2 blank pages

However i would check the gov.uk website to be sure ... print off whatever you discover there so that you can prove you checked if you get a jobsworth 😁

UK passports increasing in price very soon...might even be by end Match. Check Martin Lewis Site...(money saving expert). Might be worthwhile renewing now if you are a regular traveller. Think he might also post details about expiry dates but having just checked it a month ago am sure the other comment is correct!
