Invalid mobility Scooters
Does anyone know what's happening with invalid mobility scooters as far as licensing ?,the only discussion seems to be about two wheeled scooters and electric bikes

They don't need registration or insurance (unless you have one that does more than 25km/h).😊
It's always a good idea to have some form of insurance in case of accidents.
Aitch.
I agree with Aitch but for around €40 you can get full insurance cover, which IMHO is well worth it.

Ok thanks guys, I will certainly get some insurance, I have a Nico mobility scooter which should be ok but I also have a Chinese three wheeled two seater which I think will have problems even though I have fitted a speed control on the twist grip.

I think it's the twist grip that will cause you problems as it could be classified as a moped. The local mobility scooter sales here in Benidorm is changing the twist grips to a thumb operated lever next to a solid hand grip to comply with the local police requirements.

They really should have compulsory insurance. I was sat with friends at a pavement cafe and got wiped out by one hurtling down the slope towards me. Knocked the table chairs and me right over and almost into the road. Only bruises, but if it had been worse would have caused problems. Quite frightening even though I laughed about it afterwards!
