I currently have a house in lomos de Cabo Roig but are thinking of buying in la Marina

Does anyone have any advice about the la Marina area and what it’s like to live there?

Hi, Depends what you want I guess. Have lived on La Marina for nearly 6 years now.  All the facilities you need, doctors surgery, dentists.  There are plenty of bars and restaurants if you don't want to go off the urbanisation.  Get involved as much or as little as you want to.  Plenty of properties being bought and sold at the moment, different types and price brackets. Large Consum supermarket in the square and Iceland and Lidl. just by the N332 entry road to the urbanisation.  20/25 minutes to the airport,10 minutes to the beach.  Lived rural for  8 years before coming here and love having all the facilities on hand.

I too have a property in La Marina, Bought 2004, I only get over a couple of times a year, but in that time have noticed a great improvement in the facilities available to us. When I first went out there were an awful lot of greasy spoon type cafe/bars, but thankfully there are a lot more decent restaurants opening up. There are 3 good supermarkets on the Urb, and the addition of Lidl and Iceland down on the bottom road (by N332) is  a  great addition for the residents. In the La Marina village there are numerous shops and bars and over near Lidl/Iceland we have San Fulgencio which offers different businesses from key cutting/shoe repair to pool maintenance. only about 20 mins from Torrevieja and Alicante and about 25 minutes from both airports, Alicante and Murcia.
