Hello Everyone

We will be finally arriving in La Marina w/c 14/08/2017 and just putting out feelers for anyone who knows of / has kittens on the way, we would like 2 male kittens to look after and so they keep each other company.  If anyone knows of anyone who maybe looking to rehome 2 lovely little bundles of joy, Please let me know.

Regards

Jamie

Hi I can put you in contact with a friend near Alicante. She has vet contacts & may be able to help. PM me if you want her number. There are always animal refuges that have puppies or kittens, so again let me know if you want an address to contact & go for a visit.

Cheers, Nicky

Hi Jamie

In the area there are a number of pet rescue centres who will have kittens. I got a rescue dog from one of them in the El Campello area (BARC) and there lots of really good charities who would love to help you. For some reason they get a lot more kittens to re home at this time of year.

There are a number of other reasons for suggesting you approach a charity:

  • They look after them before adoption, with many being fostered by ex pats until they find a home - this means they are part house trained
  • It costs the charities to look after them in the short-term, adopting them reduces this cost
  • They are likely to support you in the medium term. We adopted a dog who had been hit by a car and can´t use one back leg. As a result the other leg´s hip is broken and they are paying for a prosthetic hip (so grateful to BARC)
  • The charities like to promote how they successfully rehome kittens, which raises their profile and enables them to get more kittens adopted.
Best of luck!

Thanks I have walked past the Pets in Spain Charity shop a few times, and wondered if I should call in.  Will definitely do now :)

The date seems to be wrong on this post.  I have a neighbour with several small kittens right now.  I really hope they get homes.  Torrevieja.
