Try looking on google, you'll find a number of outlets selling a basic Nespresso virtuo m/c at reasonble prices.

Will do thank you. I’ve seen them in a few places. Can’t make my mind up which one to go for but hopefully they’re better than instant

We have a Nespresso machine that uses classic pods, these are different to vertuo pods. You can buy compatible classic pods from several outlets, Mercadona, Al Campo, etc, that are about half the cost of nespresso pods and they taste fine.
I have seen nespresso classic and vertuo machines in Carrefour if you want to check them out. You can only buy vertuo pods from nespresso (as far as I aware).
