Has anyone done their own non resident tax?  We have always let a company do ours but they have now become unreliable. If you have done your own how easy is it and what do you have to do to get started? Thanks for any information. Alan.

We always used to pay to have ours done but have done it on our own for the last 3 years. It’s fairly straightforward once you’ve done it once. I can’t give you any more info as all my paperwork is in Spain and I don’t fly down until the middle of next month.

Hello Bob, Thanks for getting back to me,what I’m mainly wanting to know is how we get the paper work that tells us all the information so we can then get the forms what need to be filled in. Thanks again. Alan.

Hi I’ve just copied & pasted this from a post I did awhile back. Hope it helps.

The Non resident tax is based on your Cadastral Value of your property, which you can find on your annual Suma bill for your property. The rate of tax due is easy to calculate, I do my own. The tax form is Modelo 210 and us payable in arrears by 31st December each year.I would recommend you visit https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/ search for non resident tax,it has information and links to the page that you complete on the http://www.agenciatributaria.es website. The amount of tax you pay is dependent on whether you are within the EU and when the last revision on your Cadastral value was done. It sounds daunting doesn't it? I can assure you don't be phased by it  if I can do it anyone can 😊. If however you don't want to and you prefer to have someone do it for you I can put you in contact with a company in the U.K. that charges £29.95 per couple to prepare the forms for you, ( if property in joint names you each file a return for your 50% share in the property) The company is www.spanishtaxforms.co.uk

Thanks Yorkshire Lass for the information. We have always had someone do the tax for us but been let down so are thinking we could do it ourselves. Alan.

Hi Alan

We have always used a company in England called Spanish Tax Forms and they are reslly good.

You need to send them s copy of your suma bill and they fo the rest.

They are really quick and send you all the completed forms so all you need to do is take them to your bank and pay.

They're really teasonable as well.

The guy we deal with is called John and their number is 0800 0845 210

Their website is

www.spanishtaxforms.co.uk

Hope this helps
