It is just stupid

Blame democracy. It's just the way it is now.

How long ago did you live here? Were you a resident?

It is 90 days anywhere in the E.U. so if you travel through France to get to Spain those days have to be included in the 90.

Blame those who voted for it

I would have thought you should blame those that came up with the schenegen rules, so i guess you mean blame the EU, same as you can blame the EU  for the missing British food stuffs etc etc etc that are no longer available in Spain, quite sure Britain is happy to supply these but its the EU that are banning the supply, maybe you can petition Brussels,

A history of the schenegen can be found at the below link, though not attributable to the EU in name it was an agreement by those in the EU.

Why shouldn't any nation or state/union be able to make their own rules to control their borders? In fact that was a major premise upon which Brexit was based - that we should be able to make our own rules. You can't then blame the EU for applying rules commensurate with our changed status because they have all of a sudden become inconvenient.

I don't think you understand all that opting to become a third nation entails. Unfortunately, neither did/do many who voted to exit the EU.

The truth was very cleverly hidden by the UK Government to get the vote to leave the EU which is exactly what they wanted. They told so many lies to get that result and still a lot of people in the UK do not realise the truth. They still think to leave was simply to keep out people from the EU where, in fact, it is people from outside the EU that cause the problems coming into the UK. While we are on the subject, where is the 350 million that was promised to the NHS brazenly embellished on the side of a double decker bus gone? There was no mention of withdrawing from the Customs Union, of imposing tax on imports ( which they surely can't expect to do without EU countries doing the same in the reverse)

Millions were fooled into voting to leave and now they and everyone else is paying dearly for the stupid decision.

Hello Arthur,

Here's a list of 26  countries that are in the Schengen area so you can plan your holidays.....

Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have all acceded to the Schengen Agreement and are thus Schengen states.

Cheers

Well our ideas have disappeared.  I lived in Spain for nearly 20 years and I wanted to return but not now. Stick it .

Hello

There are 26 countries that are part of the Schengen agreement & to which the rules apply --the UK chose not to be one of them!

Cheers

Is the permitted length of stay in ones property three months if you live in the uk and

If it is is it per year ,or can you leave for a few days and then return

Britain chose to leave the EU and these are just some of the consequences.

If Britain "regained control of its borders", Brits can't complain when we are inconvenienced by the border rules of others.

Brit holiday home owners were inconsequential in the Brexit calculus.

There is a very good app called Schengen calculator free, this will let you put dates into the calendar and it works out days used up when you can enter and when you have to leave.
