Whilst I don’t know anything about upholstery professionals in your area, in England it would probably prove uneconomic to pay for the reupholstery of IKEA furniture; by the time one takes into account the cost of the fabric and the labour. As a suggestion it is possible to buy very nice ‘throws’ from some of the Chinese shops, which can be wrapped ove r the sofa, and which can be removed and washed. We have done exactly this, to protect our furniture, which has proved its successful. It need not look ‘tacky’ - ours are white, with a jacquard weave and are perfectly acceptable. Around 20 or 30 euros dependent on size.
