Hi All.

Now getting settled in to our new life in La Marina.

I have a number of obstacles to overcome and would appreciate some guidance. here we go??

1 I have been asked by our advisor to go and get a certificado digital from local town hall.

Would that be the local one on Calle Amsterdam or do I need to go to San Fulgencio.?

I have an Irish Passport and got my Residency last week  My Wife's is in progress  along with our names on Padron. When to we register with the doctor for Healthcare ,and how .and where ?

Does any one know how long, typically the S1 arrangements for permanent access to  take to get processed?

Finally I came over in my old vauxhall vivaro van 2011 and need to dispose of it any ideas?

bit old and tired but totally reliable which is why I never changed it but its on uk plates and right hand drive.

Thank you all so much for continued guidance .

One final thing, where does one find other friends other that pubs? although I don't rule them out. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in a boozer. Ha Ha.

Steve & Bev.

We got our digital certificate from the SUMA office in Santa Pola last month. At least any SUMA office will do.

Have you registered your S1 with the social services office (INSS)? Once that's done they will issue you a form to take to the health centre near you and you will be issued a SIP (healthcare) card which will have the name of the GP you have been allocated to on the back.

It's the town hall itself in San Fulgencio.

If you want to see where else you can go, then look here:

https://www.accv.es/puntos-de-registro/ciudadanos-autonomos-y-empresas/encuentra-tu-punto-de-registro/

You can register your S1s online if you're computer savvy, in order to avoid the hassle and delay of making an appointment and visiting an INSS office:

https://prestaciones.seg-social.es/servicio/registrar-formulario-s1-asistencia-sanitaria-espana.html

I've registered friends S1s and acceptance took less than a week.

Don't think of it as going to a pub - think of it as going to a coffee bar that also sells alcohol.

We moved over here 7 years ago in my husbands old work van, we kept it here for a few months , until we bought a car, and used it to move large items from another house here and to collect things from Leroy Merlin. Then he drove it back to Southampton , using the ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth.  His brother advertised it for sale, he had a guy who was interested who came to view it the next day, and bought it for a good price.

It was definitely worth him doing that as it wasn't worth much here.

Hi Thanks for the info that would not be viable in this case as the thing is only worth about £1000 the travel would soak most of that up.

I will probably end up just scrapping it . thanks for your answer though.

I'm surprised you didn't get a reply they are very on the ball, they cant always answer phone as will be in class, maybe send a WhatsApp or pop down again.

The classroom is in the centre, where Sue's kitchen is at the back of there you'll see stairs and a lift they are at top of the stairs, they are definitely still there i go every week.
