Hi

I am interested in a small 2 bed villa in La Marina Urbanisation as a holiday home (up to E70,000).  There seems to be a lot of them on the market which have been unsold for a considerable length of time and I am wondering why this is, it is making me a bit concerned about reselling if the need arose, or if there is a particular reason.

Also would anyone have an estimate of the annual cost of keeping such a property as a holiday home while not resident in Spain?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Julie

I am also looking to purchase a property here but was wondering why there are so many at such reasonable prices.

I only visit occasionally in La Marina.  There are some very large and smart houses but there are also some poor looking houses too. Very unkempt and overgrown.  Don’t ever consider buying any property without viewing at various times in a day.  What looks like a quiet area could be a noisy place later in the day. Always listen out for dogs barking.  This can be hell.
