Hello Linda, is this an emergency or a general inquiry about possible future need and have you moved in permanently? If it is an emergency, you are between Elche and Torrevieja hospitals. Get La Marina up on google maps then search for hospitals for directions.

Just to let you know that if you have moved permanently, the EHIC is not designed for this. If under retirement age, you need private medical insurance, if over, contact the Overseas Healthcare Team at DWP in UK to get a SIP card. You cannot use the EHIC if you are resident in Spain.

If you are Resident then with your Private Health Insurance your nearest private hospital would be the Quiron Hospital in Torrevieja, also with your PHI you should have received a booklet from your insurance company that lists of all private clinics that you may use subject to the terms of your insurance policy.
