Hi all posting on behalf of a friend....

Can someone tell me if there is another car park for day visitors to San Juan hospital in Alicante other than the multi storey one which is very expensive for day visits, thanks James

If you've not already done so, look at the area around San Juan in Google Earth:

https://www.google.es/maps/@38.389892,-0.4353943,497m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

There are three ground level car parks within a hundred metres, one of which Street View shows to have barriers, so chargeable, but I can't read what the prices are. One doesn't have barriers, but may be pay and display, and the third I'm not sure about but may be the hospital staff car park.

What I'd favour though is the nearby Mercadona. It has barriers, so you'd need an exit ticket, but if they're anything like the Lidl I use in Orihuela, you just need to buy something in the store and present your entry ticket at the checkout to get a free exit ticket. I obviously don't know for sure, so it may be worth going into the multi-storey, delivering the patient, walk round and suss things out, then move the car to your chosen location.

Good luck!

As always Jim you are very kind to go that extra mile to give an excellent and informative reply 😊  I'll let my friend know. Many thanks.
