Maybe a daft question to some but I've recently moved to La Marina, I am resident and have a sip card, my question is do I need to go to the salud and register myself or wait until I need to see a doctor then get registered? Tia😁

Hello, where did u get your SIP card from? Normally, after you have registered your S1 with the INSS, you take the form they give you to your nearest salud, they issue you with your SIP & allocate you with a DR whose name will be on the back of the card. I'm confused, did u move to La Marina from somewhere else in Spain?

Cheers

If you moved to La Marina from a different town in Spain I would suggest you take your SIP card to your nearest Centro Salud where they will allocate a new doctor to you and give you the phone number you'll need to use when you next need to make an appointment.

I've just looked at the back of the sip card and it's got the name of the doctor where I used to live(there's only one as it's a village) so I guess I need to go to the salud and change it!😁

Hello

Yes Gilly, you will need a new card, so start at salud & see if they can do that for you, take all the necessary paperwork, passport, residencia, padron ( with new address ) may be necessary but at least they can advise you.
