Remember the 180 days is not fixed as January to June and July to December, it is ROLLING 180 days. As long as you don't spend more than 90 days in the whole of the Schengen zone in ANY consecutive 180 days you will be okay.

Hello,
Not really sure what you mean Nikki, in what respect? If you live here in Spain then you must apply for residencia within 90days whether you are a retired pensioner or not. I fit both of these categories , so just clarify your question & I'll try to help
Cheers

I currently spend 6 months in Spain approx. Usually from November through to April the following year simply because of the weather. Then the rest of the year in the UK. I already have Spanish residencia but my pension is paid to my UK bank. Do I need to give up the UK altogether and transfer everything, lock, stock and berrel to Spaiun in order to stay here without restrictions?

If you already have residencia then your main home is already in Spain, and you would be spending more time in Spain then in the UK. So it doesn't sound from what you have asked that you do have residencia. Are you confusing residencia with having an NIE number?

Hello,
I am assuming you have had residencia for many years. Do you consider yourself a resident or a visitor, where is your health entitlement UK or Spain? You can still have a bank account in the Uk but if you are not commited to living here permanently then you won't get all the entitlements . If you live here as a resident you are not subject to visiting restrictions as this is your main home.

I have had residencia since 2002. Resident or visitor? That's the bugbear.Half the year here and half the year in UK at rented home. Use EHIC card while here for medical but registered with UK doctor. My retirement pension is paid into my UK bank account - at the moment. Bit complicated! Or so it seems to me at the moment. By the way I am 69 and my partner 69 also,. We are both in the same situation. We both have Spanish Driving Licences too and Spanish Bank Accounts which pay all our SUMA here - house, car etc
