You can get a plug -in to keep them away. They do work and they are sold on one of the market stalls. You get dual purpose ones for insects too, I haven't had any cockroaches so maybe works there but I still get ants.

I still have selection of the pluggy-in thingys!. I bought them years ago. They have a nice red flashing light etc. The first time I put it in the socket to stop flies/mossies & an array of other uninvited creatures, a fly flew in & landed on it. (it may have been deaf!). It may be good for some things,I have doubts. They are still there flashing away. I´ve had no problems with Elephants, (may be frightened of mice).

Hi Lynne,

Are you sure its mice ? We moved into our new house last summer, and found what we thought were mice droppings on the kitchen work tops and inside the cupboards. After having bought mouse traps , we were talking to our new neighbours, and our problem came up during conversation. They told us it was more likely to be cockroaches as the droppings are so similar. We put roach traps down and did find a couple of dead ones over the following few days. Nothing since.

Thank you very much. Something else to consider. We have bought some of the electronic deterrent plug ins which are meant to effect roaches as well. Really good advice.
