Hi I bought a second hand car back in April , and kept being  fogt off with the paperwork off ownership I. Was given 3 dates week's apart.I know it takes 6 weeks to get an appointment with trafico  I was in Spain for 12 weeks I have heard

Nothing from the garage ,  Any ideas why they drag it out I have all the other paperwork   Will be back in Sept to see if the car ownership is in my name.

Who told you an appointment takes 6 weeks? Out of curiosity, I've just had a look and could get an appointment on 21st August.

If the price you paid to the dealer includes both transfer tax and the Tráfico fee, then the dealer is just dragging his heels.

Hi Jim thanks for the reply I did buy all in, the 6 week wait I got from 2 expat service's as I can't speak Spanish and you have to rely on these people to take you through the system.   Hopily it's know mine all legal ?

Hello

There are a lot of crooked garages out here … beware!

Go to the garage and demand the papers = documentos, do not be put off,  threaten to call the Guardia.  Ask for the contra/venta de coches, they MUST have it.   If they do not give you those papers then the car is possible stolen and you must make a denuncia at the Guardia Civil.

If they give you those papers, with your name on it, then go to a GESTOR and for 150 euros they will transfer the car into your name.  I suspect that you are dealing with a very shady company.

If you need further help then do not hesitate to contact me - no charge!

Kind regards

Richard
