Property wanted to rent: Ideally : 3 Bed house with Pool in or around La Marina

Hi, My wife I have been house hunting in Spain for the last year, having gradually worked our way North from Malaga up to Alicante, we have eventually decided that the proximity to the Airport offered by the area North of Torrevieja, and the good value of properties in La Marina, considering its facilities and beach area, is our ideal spot for a second home as we look forward to retirement.

We aim to split our time 50/50 between the UK and Spain, and have some knowledge of this lifestyle having previously owned a small town house in S of France for 10 years (just up the coast from Portbou at the very top end of the Costa Brava).

Having intended to buy, we are quickly realising that a long-term rent may be the best solution at the moment for two main reasons;

The first one is of course the 'B' word, and it seems we've left it two late to complete a purchase before 31 Oct, plus all the uncertainty of how both the economics and legalities will be affected when Boris has us bike out of the EU.

The other one is that one that affects all of us house hunting, the budget.  We couldn't decide whether to buy with available cash and restrict our purchase price to about £70K (but most likely end up with a property we hadn't 'fallen in love with', or raid the pension pot/property equity in the UK, and add another £100K ish so that we could get that proverbial 3 bed detached villa with pool (plus of course private secluded terrace with sea-view, 5 min walk to 115 bars and 34 restaurants, 7 live music venues, 3 nature reserves, etc etc etc. lol!).

So the obvious thing it has taken us 12 months to deduce is to rent for 6 month to a year or so.

We can be quite flexible on this as we will not be there full time, so could perhaps work around a few existing commitments that an owner may have, we can pay in advance, we have no pets, don't smoke, spend most of out time in complete silence on our smart-phones, so should be good tenants.

We'd like to sample the middle to upper end of our budget potential for buying, if we are to rent, so would ideally like 3 beds and a pool, but can compromise on most everything else.

We'd be most pleased to hear about any such properties available to rent in la Marina (or close by). We've arranged a holiday let of a villa in La Marina 10-17 Sept, so will be out there for a week quite soon for viewings. Of course we will not totally dismiss the purchase option if the right place came up at the right price etc.
