Hi all

We are coming to La Marina just for the Easter weekend Thursday-Tuesday. As we are arriving late on the Thursday before Good Friday we wont be able to do our usual provision shopping . So now  wondering if Restaurants are open on those days or will everything be closed for the Easter Holiday? And are there any Fiestas going on here or near by ? Does anybody know at all ? Or where could i find out please ? Thanks you

It may help someone if they knew to which La Marina you are referring, i.e. the urbanisation or the town.   The urbanisation is on the inland side of the N332 coastal road and the town is on the sea side of the same road.   Both places comes under the jurisdiction of different larger towns, i.e. the urbanisation is under San Fulgencio and the town comes under the jurisdiction of Elche.

We have a house on the Urbanisation  but are jappy to drive somewhere (not too far ) for a nice Fiesta. . ;)

Every town celebrates Semana Santa.

Silent parade is usually Thursday evening , but the main big  parade is Friday evening. Your choice of how far you want to travel, Rojales, Guardamar, Torrevieja etc.

The Friday night parade in Torrevieja lasts anything between 4 and 6 hours.

If you are on Facebook, each town hall will publish times and dates.

Shops are open over the weekend including Easter Sunday, although some will operate reduced hours.

Of course it’s holiday season so bars and restaurants will be busy
