I hear what you say but would have thought an acknowledgement would not have gone amiss! then trust then starts to built up.

I want a bedroom extension,Roof terrace,Internal wall removed, New Kitchen, Bathroom, Rear car port, swimming pool, New Gates, re-paint in and out, Tiling. [Not to be sneezed at you would think!!!!]
I am 74, a retired builder myself, I was hoping to liaise via e mail to get the work done ready for our next visit.
I am in the UK is it worth coming out and sitting on their laps?

I think you may have to be a little patient. I am waiting for some building work on my property not only are good builders very busy this work requires planning approval by the town hall which means a two to three month wait. I wish you luck but finding a good builder remotely will be a challenge.
