we have a few tiles which need to go back in our pool near the water outlet. Last time we drained the whole pool but wondered if it could be done with the water in. Thanks

I’ve replaced tiles on my pool steps with water in and they have stuck. Not sure about tiles in the bottom though.

There must be a special cement out there but mine worked okay.

I’ve got a couple more to do at high level and I will do the same.

There is a two-pack adhesive available from some ferreterías which will stick tiles back on underwater, even at the bottom of the pool.

The problem is that it's difficult to swim down there to fix them, unless you have a weight belt (or someone's foot on your back!) to hold you down. Also, ideally, the tiles will need something to hold them in place while the adhesive sets.

I have done this job in the past, but towards the end of my pool-repair days I used to hire a guy with scuba kit. He is no longer in Spain, but there are people out there who advertise that they do this.

Thankyou. Ours is at the bottom outlet and the pool is 8' deep at that end. Hoping for someone else to do the job. Regards, Susan

Susan, can I suggest you google "underwater pool repairs costa blanca". Ignore the sponsored ads, but then there is a company advertising what you want done. P.m. me if you can't find it.

Geoff.

I have sent an email to the pool people. Apparently they fix under water. Thank you for your help. Su
