My Mum lives in the area and was seeing a man from La Marina. I advised her against it as I did not trust him or his motives. He has now scammed her out of 5000 Euros and a car that he sold to her then 'borrowed' back and has never returned. Can anyone advise what actions we can take and what evidence the police would need to follow up. I don't have much confidence that we will get the money back but it would be good to try and also to try and stop him doing this to anyone else. My Mum is an 83 year old widow and vulnerable.

I don't want to post his name but would appreciate any advice. Also, please, everyone, be careful and look after your relatives. I tried to warn my Mum but she was insistent that he was a good man.

Hello

You need to contact the police  station closest to where your Mum lives to make the report (you might need a translator).

You will  need as much evidence as you can provide regarding this man, all  financial transactions &  car purchase etc and your Mum will need to co operate with all this as she is the victim in this sad situation.

So sorry for you both .....Good Luck

Cheers
