I'm looking at moving to Spain in the next few years and like the look of la Maine urbanisation, I was wondering if you pay a community fee and how much that is, also do you find that the on-site facilitys are more expensive than off the area eg, supermarkets pubs and restaurants.

What is the internet speed like.

Any insight to this would be helpful.

Thanks Pippa

We purchased on phase 1 La Marina last year. Community fees are €300 Per annum, we have access to two pools, electricity standing charge is €30 per month and extra if occupied, internet with UK TV is €15 per month for 10Mb, bank fees €30 per quarter, non residents tax is €70 per person per annum, not had a bill for SUMA (local tax) yet, water depends on usage of course.

LIDL and Mercadona are just off the urb, but the ones on the urb are not overly expensive. The bars and restaurants have plenty of competition and so prices are reasonable.

I would recommend that you rent somewhere on the urb for a couple of weeks while you take a look at some property

Hi I live on the urb and I get my Internet from telecable, they charge 24€ a month for 8 gb, I don't get my TV with them as I have a satelite dish,

I would appreciate it if you would let me know where you get your Internet from, as it seems a lot better offer for 15€ than I am getting, Thanks Brian.
