I only buy two newspapers a week the Costa Blanca News and the Sunday times. Unfortunately the Times has just stopped distributing one of its best features in the culture magazine without dropping its price. There is only one newspaper outlet open on the urbanisation of La Marina on a sunday and they dont sell any other quality newspapers. Are there any newspaper shops in other areas, say within a 5 mile radius that might sell the Independent or the Observier type newspapers? This might seem like a trite request given the other important issues going on in the world but that's precisely why I would like some quality journalism to keep me updated. Hope somebody can help.

Hello

I love a Sunday newspaper & used to have a choice of 2 outlets & 1 kiosk at the beach for summer months  which with breakfast & coffee  on the boardwalk was my Sunday routine. Now I have none, one shop remains but doesn't open on Sundays & the daily choice at my closest supermarket is very limited too ( no quality papers) , it seems people must read them on line these days,  sorry I can't help...

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. Hopefully someone will come with a location for both of us.

Hi,

The guardian has a great on line newspaper and I am sure many of the others do too.  I know its not the same as a physical newspaper but needs must.

This link to British newspapers subscriptions delivered in Spain may help

Let us know how you get on

Thank you but I wont be subscribing for a year to any newspaper as that is the only option they seem to offer. Looks like an interesting read though hoping I can get a physical copy somewhere.

If you are a member of a British Library or know someone who is you can get access to nearly every newspaper around the world plus magazine through the apps press reader, & RB digital for free.

As it happens I probably am still a member of a library in the UK but haven't been back for two years so not entirely sure. Whilst I appreciate the suggestion I spend so much time on e- devices I really wouldn't want to read a newspaper on one. I am still holding out for a printed newspaper but not looking very likely at the moment. If I find somewhere I will report back in case anyone else is looking for something similar. Thanks.
