OK Alex,

That's a good idea, and a start.

A sub- forum La Marina Village Residents.

Thanks

Bade

I agree with Jim.

I DO live in La Marina and am very interested in both parts of it, but not in two forums - please!

Geoff.

There are no 2 parts to La Marina. La Marina is the village which incidently comes under Elche, and urb La Marina is an urbanisation which comes under San Fulgencio, two places not one, so why not have a seperate forum page for La Marina "The Village"

We're happy to add this. What do other members think? The problem is that those in the La Marina group won't see posts in the La Marina Village group (and vice versa), unless they visit it. Let us know if you think that's a problem.

I dont think this is a problem. People holidaying who are informed they are coming to La Marina and are told it is by the sea are actually misinformed as they find themselves on the Urb, La Marina a long way from the sea. I agree with Bade. Even houses for sale and to rent are put out as being in La Marina instead of telling people they are actually on the Urb. La Marina. A total misconception in my view. Seperate forums for the two places.

OK I hear your plea's for No Change!! heavens above!!

But surely ideas and tweaking here and there is what a new publication needs. It can always go back easily if it realy doesn't suit. Proof of the pudding will be in the number of hits etc.and the number of folks opinions, surely that's the life blood of a forum....

...

With respect, the point about Rafal is hardly relevent, this is about an area that contains two distinct La Marinas, 5km apart.

Hear, hear Bade. You are absolutely right.

I wholeheartedly agree.

They are 2 distinct places, as I said at the outset.

And as you rightly point out, they are under 2 different local councils, and roughly 5 miles apart.

Different places, same name, except + URBANISATION & +VILLAGE

ManinSpain made an excellent point about folks booking holidays in La Marina and expecting it to be close to the sea, or at the most no more than half a mile (and much less if in El Pinet) stroll down a quiet road through a forest to the beach, as it is from La Marina Village.

They get a real shock if they're at the far side of the Urb, and they discover they're not a stroll away, but on top of a hill, and can be as much as 5 miles from the sea.
