Hello neighbours,

It's that time of  year again, when we would like to ask for your kindness,in donating any unwanted,Bedding, rugs, towells, and cushions, to keep our Furry friends warm this winter.

And or any other items that could be sold in their shop.

We are happy to collect.

Thanking you in advance.

Ian and Sue x

Hello,

I'm not a charity

I'm a friend of the Alberque Municipal De Animals, the Animal sanctuary at the side of the fire station in Torrevieja.

I help where I can collecting, and delivering any items to help them, any items for the shop I would leave with the volunteers ,who would take them to the shop.

In the past I have collected and delivered building materials when Lisa, and the other ladies where tiling the new areas,

My wife and I donate food and cat litter on a regular basis to our furry friends

Kindest regards

Ian and Sue

I never knew they had shop as well.  Where is it?  I will take some bedding to the shelter soon.  How is the food situation there?  As they are council run, do they depend on donations or does the council provide enough food?

Hi,

I'm one of the volunteers at the Torrevieja shelter and always take in my towels, etc when I go in every week so I just thought if another charity was in need I'd donate.

Thanks to people like you we manage to look after the animals as the town hall do bugger all. It's donations and all us volunteers bringing in the food, litter and bedding with the town hall chucking in the odd bags of litter and dry food so they can say they're doing something.

Have a good week and if you're ever in on a Tuesday morning just shout for me as it would be nice to say thanks face to face :-)

Hello Sharon

I have met Ian & Sue today  & they are lovely people, who care about the cats just like you & I do.

I have  given them some rugs/bedding etc to bring in to the shelter & we have realised we are very close neighbours & I will see them again soon.

If I call into the shelter on a Tues a.m. can I give you a shout too ha!?

Cheers

El.

To anyone reading this who can donate some  kind of warm bedding so the animals have something to sleep on, please p.m. Ian on here .as I did & he will willingly collect from you

Ha, ha! Of course you can call on me :-)

I'll be the one that's covered in cat hair and talking like a looney to all of them!

Hi I'm  not sure where the shop is ,I used to take items for Lisa to auction .

The food they get from Torrevieja is sub standard, and insufficient for the amount of animals.

The amount of cat litter they get from Torrevieja, for three months, lasts them a week.

Without donations of food and cash, they would not be able to survive.

I am quite shocked to hear about substandard and insufficient food.  I always thought the dogs and cats are well provided for.  Would appeals on Facebook help?
