Puig closes the Valencian Community until January 15: it will only allow registered residents to enter20 MINUTES NEWS12.17.2020 - 21: 37.Valencian Community will remain closed perimeter until next January 15 and it will not be possible to leave or enter the regional territory except for those who return to their usual place of residence . Thus, the possibility of traveling to other autonomies to meet with relatives or friends, which was contemplated in the previous plan, is eliminated. Restrictions are tightened for Christmas: these are the real-time measures approved by each autonomy

It was announced this Thursday by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, who has presented two more measures: the limitation to six people in meetings during the holidays, "without exceptions" on the days indicated and with a maximum of two coexistence units , and the start of the curfew at 11:00 p.m. , except on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, which is postponed at 00:00.

The objective of these restrictions, which come into force on Monday and for which the president has apologized to the Valencians, considering them "very painful", is to stop the spread of the coronavirus and guarantee enter the regional territory except for those who return to their usual place of residence . Thus, the possibility of traveling to other autonomies to meet with relatives or friends, which was contemplated in the previous plan, is eliminated.

Clarification: This DOES NOT apply to International travellers arriving from abroad. You are welcome to enter the Communidad from abroad. Also, going from/to airport is exempt, just bring your reservation/ boarding pass with you.

Really? Does that also apply for travel by road? Do you maybe have some more information about this? Thank you!

It means people arriving in the Valencian region , landing  at Alicante airport & staying in that region - so no boundaries to cross,

Does this mean that non-residents still can fly to Alicante and enter ?

Yes of course you can .Spain is open to EU tourists as long as they comply with the entry requirements. (Pax locator app and Covid19 test within 72h. Before travel)
