I don’t know of any free English channels available without having sky or through having the Internet, but most Spanish tv channels show British/American programs, you should be able to switch these Spanish dubbed programs back to the original language using the audio button on your remote control.

If you don’t want to pay subscriptions you can buy a dish and a free sat box. You can then watch all the free-sat channels in English for free. Of course there is the initial cost of having the dish and free-sat box installed. But no subscriptions thereafter.

Any idea of cost and who could install. Thanks

Have you considered an IPTV system, subscription costs as little as 80€.

There are so many large and small companies offering this facility. Best that you look on line, and compare a few of them in your area. But I know that in Northern Costa Blanca you will likely need a 1.4 M dish to get a good satellite reception. You can buy the boxes for less than 100 euro. Have you got the space to locate the dish is question no 1.

Hi it's similar to Freeview but you need a Sattalite receiver box and a Sattalite dish . All the channels you get in the UK : BBC1,2,4, Itv 1,2,3, and plus ones. Ch 4,5, . Yesterday, Dmax,Film4.

But if you are having Broadband internet then there's systems that you can get IPTV and you will channels from the whole world . Be careful of the company you decide to get installing it as some charge monthly and some it's a one of fee . But with both you could loose channels any time. The firm could disappear IE: go out of business ! Which used to happen frequently. If you go the satellite route it's best to get your own dish which used to be very big 1•8metre upwards and only pay for installation . Do your homework well otherwise you will end up similar to me paying several times and still haven't got my own dish !

Be lucky

Hello BDY101,

I have just read your recent post on the CB Forum.

If you are looking for a satellite dish, I have one that is no longer used.

You would need to collect it from our residence  in Catral.

If you have internet then a firestick is the handiest. No messing with dishes etc.
