I am in UK but have keyholder available next Monday (19th Sept) from 11am till 9.00pm.  I need a broken water heater removed and a new one installed.

I have tried to buy the heater and installation from Leroy Merlin but I can't work out how to specify a particular date.  There is no local email and no one from their head office has responded.  I tried calling but my Spanish is pretty hopeless so I couldn't make myself understood.

If anyone can help either by buying the heater and installing on Monday or by letting me know an email address for the Torrevieja branch or any other store that I can contact about supplying and fitting heater on 19th?

Thank you.

The water heater that I was trying to buy from leroy Merlin is Equation EQ1 80L 125 Euro's (ref 82005338) and Installation 125 Euro's.  It doesn't have to that model, any will do but needs to replace the one shown in picture attached.

Hello

I suggest you get your keyholder to sort this out for you.

I dont think anyone will buy on behalf of someone they dont know - liase with the keyholder, & come &  fit this. I presume your keyholder lives here, so they need to contact a plumber , arrange order, paymeny & delivery of the water heater to your address and be there  also when the plumber is available.

Give your keyholder the responsibility and ask them to arrange it with Leroy Merlin.

Cheers

Yes, that would be the sensible thing to do. Unfortunately Key Holder probably not the right description.  I have a family member who will be in Spain next Monday and has a key, who will spend the day at the property. I have arranged a number of deliveries etc.

I may have found a company that is delivering another item and stocks water heaters so can potentially also deliver and install.  However, i assumed that a replacement water heater would be 60 or 80L but I'm told that looking at the picture of the broken tank that's being replaced, it looks more like 30L and the new one might not fit the space.  So before buying I really should know what size I need.  Unfortunately there is no way of finding out in advance.

Are there any plumbers or home owners who recognise this model and can say what size it is? If I decide not to have the 80L tank and go down to 50L will that provide sufficient hot water and is likely to fit in the space? The kitchen needs to be completely refitted anyway so size of cupboard is maybe irelevant

It sounds a big responsibility for someone else to make these decisions. Flights are quite cheap just now. Could you fly over for a few days to sort this out? Or can it wait until your next planned trip?

Have the issues with damage to neighbouring properties now been resolved?

Thanks for the response.  Yes, it's too much and too complicated.  I will try and get there during October half term.

In the meantime I have been sent 5 or 6 photo's of the damage to my neighbours flat.  It doesn't look like much, mostly damp on the walls and a stained sunbed cushion so hopefully wont financially ruin me. I've emailed asking how much they think they will need to put it right but haven't received a response yet.

Have a great day!
