Hi all . We have just returned from El Albir ,loved the area and are thinking of retiring somewhere close . La Nucia is really catching our attention and would love to know more about the area , how many expats are living there .are there buses to other towns etc.any information would be truly appreciated. Thanks STEVE & BRENDA .

Hi
I do not know how many ex pats live here but we have met loads of people since moving to Villajoyosa 2 and a half years. There are great links with public transport although I prefer to use my bicycle. All I would say is that most people I meet would not return to UK or Holland or Germany or Belgium. Life has its challenges here but we absolutely love it and jsut wish we had done it years ago.

It will not be until late summer as we have just returned to England after spending a few weeks in Albir . We are busy searching the internet for the type of property that will suit us . A local estate agent is sending us property videos and prices . Thanks for your invite ,we would definitely be interested in meeting with you but unfortunately it may be a while . We will be monitoring the forum and hope in future someone may be able to advise us on a possible rental property for a week or so later in the year ,thanks Steve .

We have a little house near the beach in Villajoyosa that you may be able to use.
Yesterday an Ukranian family moved into it. Of course we do not know how long they will need it. Dad is not allowed to leave Ukraine. It is heartbreaking.

It’s terrible what’s going on. Can’t imagine what the poor people are going through.just hope it all ends soon and things return to normal. I will contact you near the time and if the house is available on the dates we require we would be much obliged. And can discuss terms . Thanks Chesca .

Hi, Have you done all your research into the visa, income and healthcare requirements needed to be able to move to Spain. Will you be retiring here in Spain or expecting to find work?
