Do you speak reasonable Spanish because if not your already minimal chances of finding work (that's ANY work) will diminish effectively to nil.

Naturally of course any prospective Spanish employer will expect you to have a Spanish HGV licence so it would be futile even looking for work until you have.

The bad news, at least as I understand it, is that a UK HGV licence is not exchangeable for a Spanish equivalent, instead you will get a plain Group B car licence then have to take the Spanish HGV test - in Spanish of course.

Note also that you can only exchange a licence after you have acquired official Spanish resident and with the way that's going right now that could take many many months to achieve.

A further potential complication is if UK does crash out of the EU on Oct 31st. without a deal then it's conceivable that an exchange of any sort may become impossible meaning you would have to start from absolute scratch with a Spanish car test and then as a 'new' driver clock up a couple of years experience before you could progress to HGV training.
