Hi. We are returning to Belfast for 2 weeks shortly. I have booked our antigen tests here in Spain but am having great difficulty with getting a 2 day PCR test at Belfast International Airport with Randox. We are looking for a 'supervised' test as opposed to using a kit. However their website appears to push for a kit. I have written to them but have not received a response. I also tried ringing but again, no response.

I've also looked at Boots website but again it appears to push towards a kit.

Has anyone any suggestions about how or where to get a day 2 PCR test in or around the general Belfast area?

Many thanks

John

Hi john

My family were able to get on site pcr test at Belfast city airport costing £60 each. There is a place on Lisburn road but it’s £90 each. However based on news that things may be changing on 1st October you may not require pcr test if fully vaccinated. Think more news will come out in next few days so may be worth holding fire if youcab

Many thanks Deirdre. We fly into the international. Did your family use Randox? We would prefer to use them because we can sort do the test on the evening we arrive.

The change to be announced on 1st October won't affect us unfortunately as we have to do the 2 day pcr within 2 days of arriving in Belfast on the 20th September.

Hi John

Yes it was randox-they couldn’t get booked in to intl airport testing (it’s closer to us so was first choice)

Very straightforward system but have to say we’ve also had three sets of family order the at home tests with no issues at all (randox also)

Thanks Deirdre. I have also tried booking in at the City but had same issue.. Might have to think about home testing after all..
