From Amber to Green, kind of..

So, the UK Govt has announced this morning anyone who has been fully vaccinated can travel to amber list countries (including Spain), with the same critiria for Green list travel. This means no test to leave the UK, one test 3 days before you travel back to the UK, and a further test 2 days after arrival in the UK. None of the travel sites have up-dated yet with regards to getting test-kits at discounted rates. And you cant order them from other med sites as Spain is still listed as Amber which require day 2 and 8 day tests. Unless someone knows how to get a Day 2 return test?

Hi,

The uk govt announced that if you have been fully vaccinated in the uk (nhs)

Then you don’t need to quarantine from any amber listed country ,effectively turning all amber listed country’s green for the fully vaccinated.

You need a test from spain 72 hours prior to arrival in the uk and then a 2 day test.

No quarantine. Please remember NHS vaccinations only not Spanish ,Portuguese etc etc..

2 day test is easy to buy in the uk online and can even be done by post.

I understand the anti gen test is all that’s required when leaving spain for the uk…

Hi, you can get a Day 2 test only from: https://www.testingforall.org/travel/

I used them for my recent day2/8 tests and they were fine, a little slow with getting the results back but that will not be an issue as you don't have to quarantine.

This does not apply to those living in Wales or scotland at the moment.

Even if you fly from an English airport they can check your passenger locator form.

I am due to drive to spain next Friday, but don't hold much hope out as Kim Jon Drakeford wants everybody in Wales to holiday in Wales this year. Its an absolute joke of a govt...
