Hi all,

We are new to the area (or will be once completion date is set)

Currently living in Torrevieja and have been for some 6 years.

Our new home is on outskirts of the village and currently does not have any water connection. We understand that it is to be connected to Riego water.  Has anyone got any advice on the process.

We are waiting for the vendor to confirm the meter connection but believe there is a major leak in the area so it is on hold.

Will we still need a deposit tank for the riego water or does it come directly into the house?

Cheers

Karen

Hi Karen,

I have sent you a private message. We have riega water too and it is connected directly to the house. There is an office in the village that deals with it but they don't speak any English so you would need a translator if you don't speak Spanish. We are not far from you in Los Batistes and we don't need a water deposit but maybe if you have no mains connection then you would have to use the deposita. Our friends live far out and have their water delivered by tanker. We have heard there is a leak but it doesn't seem to have affected us. Can the estate agent or your solicitor help with advising on getting the water connected?

Regards

Jackie

Thank you Jackie.

Yes, the solicitors are working on getting the meter connected by the current owner.

There are pipes to the boundary but no meter or anything to the house itself.

hopefully will be sorted soon.
