It a very common accurance for Spanish drivers and often copied by the English whilst driving in Spain.

Hello

It happens at every set of traffic lights  on the main coast road, if the 1st car is one second slow moving off.    It doesn't  really mean much, its just part of the way the Spanish drive.  I think  other people  just accept it ...

Cheers

Ever driven in NY city? Why not blow your horn? Don't get upset, live and let live.

How do you know that the drivers who are using their horns are Spanish?   They could be British, Moroccan, German, French,Italian, Russian, the list is almost endless!

I too have encountered the most outrageous and unbelievable road maneuvers on the Costa Blanca by people who somehow don’t believe the road speed limits are correct !  They feel they can at least add another 30 KPH to the road speed so if they encounter someone driving at the correct road speed they will either try and force them to drive faster or even worse risk their life and yours and oncoming traffic to get in front by using maneuvers that definitely aren’t in the Highway code ! I have been left speechless by some of the angry and dangerous driving all for basically to gain a few  seconds and generally you end up behind them again eventually ! Crazy people !!!

Interesting point.

I find driving in Spain quite pleasant and problem free. Have you ever driven in France? Pure hell and chaos.

Drivers will try and intimidate by tailgating if they feel you are not driving quickly enough. My biggest gripe is drivers not indicating when approaching roundabouts or junctions, seems indicators on Spanish cars are an optional extra.
