I am looking to come over for a few months and now looking at costs for bringing my Chihuahua over from uk! Any suggestions?

We moved over in February and asked Sharon at Trans-pet to bring our Springer over for us. I am happy to recommend her as our dog arrived on the day and at the time agreed. We didn't want to fly him so this was the perfect solution for ourselves. The cost was also very reasonable. Russ

I’m am coming over to la Zenia again on Saturday with my chihuahua & the way I do it and cheapest is fly with k l m with dog with me from Newcastle to Alicante via Amsterdam, then coming back Veulling to Amsterdam, then I take DFDS ferry back to Newcastle as you can’t bring dogs back into uk on board with you on the plane. Bit of a journey I know ! But when you want to to take you dog with you couple of times a year it’s the only cheapest way for me.

It’s only an extra £50 for the dog, & what ever the cost of your flight.

Cost of ferry varies. Plus a taxi transfer to ferry landing from Amsterdam about £50

Your dog first needs a valid passport ( rabies up to date)

Find an airline that accepts pets in cabin ( I flew with KLM ) you have to ring them to book flight then you ring back 48 hours later too confirm they can accommodate the dog which has to be small enough to fit in a soft travel bag & fit under seat infont . Details are on their web site.

I flew back with Velling ( a morning flight so I had plenty of time to catch ferry ( DFDS)

Hope that helps
