Further to what Rayd added regarding non Spanish mobile,you can telephone customer service request an English speaker if necessary. Explain if that is indeed the problem. They will take you through security and give you 3 months app access without the SMS security requirement.

Not sure if I am the exception to the rule but I receive one time pass codes to my English mobile number from Bankia.

I get mine to my Irish mobile - I think the only issue is you have to add the mobile number in person in the bank.
