We are non residents with a Bankinter joint account

I am hoping to open an account with Cajamar Caja Rural bank Pilar de la Horadada tomorrow as im fed up with the increasing maintenance charges i incur with Bankinter.

Is it still free banking with Cajamar Caja Rural bank please? If i take my Passport and NIE certificates and 2 recent util bills will this be sufficient to open an account.

As well as monthly maintenance charges of 10 Euros Bankinter also make another yearly deduction (tax uto every December) not sure if this is another bank charge or something which is deducted for government tax?

Cajamar run a no interest project. You will need to purchase a 'Bond'. I bought one for 1000 seven years ago. Since then I have not paid charges. The bond money remains yours and accrues a very small interest.

Thankyou for that, i wasnt aware that you had to purchase a bond to open an account.

We opened a "Wefferent" account last year up in San Miguel De Salinas as we have a property in Playa Flamenca.

No charges if you operate the account online but they will charge you if you go into the brach to carry out transactions.

We needed passport, NIE. wages slips if working or P60s

It's been great so far.
