After receiving notice of an increase in bank charges from sabadell Bank I looked elsewhere to see what was available.

I have now changed my euro denomination account to starling bank UK. it's a mobile-only bank but you are able to set up direct debit to pay for utilities etc it's relatively easy to use and saved myself €180 per annum

So if you're looking for a bank without ridiculous charges for doing nothing take a look at starling bank UK

Hi Al113

I have 2 starling accounts a sterling and euro account and pay all my bills out of the euro account by direct debit my solicitor set everything up when we purchased the house even my community charge comes out of there. I dont know how difficult it would be to set the dd's up after probably not that difficult but you could always get the solicitor to arrange it for you if your not to sure.

My only concern as we have a Sabadell account at the moment due to having to have a bankers draft to purchase the property which the bank offset the house insurance to so I can live with it for 12 months, would be finding free cash withdrawl facilities later and also you can only draw 300 per day my Sabadell is 600.

Regards Andrew
